Ivisited oneco kennels today in Brosna the heart of north Kerry

This new rearing establishment is being operated by the begley brothers from castleisland in co .Kerry

Situated on 50 acres all dogs have individual concrete runs with free access in and out of the kennels into huge paddocks at all times

Based on the American style of rearing this new rearing establishment is the best i have ever seen there are paddocks there you would have to see to be believed... croke park wouldnt get a look in!!!!

They will care for pups,saplings,injured and resting dogs and will keep a small amount of racers They will be providing a full schooling service also and have a whirligig to help with the preparation of young saplings for the track

There is still but a few jobs that need to be finished and the work is ongoing but the basics are well in place and the begleys have been in dogs for years and know well what it takes to look after dogs to get them fit and healthy for the race track some of the top trainers in the country are currently rearing dogs there derby winning trainer Ian Reilly to name just one
