2007 cashmans laurels

Another greats nights racing took place in Curraheen park last saturday night with ardkil jamies track record being equaled by droopy robhino frazer blacks charge looks to have a great chance this year of landing the honors but there is a lot of running still to be done in this years competition he has yet to be led to the bend and will we see a different dog if he is?... only time will tell
Nearly all the leading fancies came through there heats with the biggest casualty of the night was deerfield dan the mossie o connor trained dog was having his first start for his new owner fr brian dalton and he pulled up lame after some argy bargy at the second bend the injury looks quiet serious and it could be the end of his racing career i will update later this evening if i have any more news on this fella
It really is a quality laurels this year and the quarter finals have thrown up some interesting clashes and they will all have to be at their best next week if they are to progress
A local runner that is still in the competition is johnnys vision this veteran has had the run of the race last weekend but he is still in the shake up and will have a chance again to qualify having drawn the easier of the four quarter finals next weekend it has to be said its a great achievement to have a dog go this far in any classic so well done steven keep it up

NB my 2 ante post tips are still in with a shout of taking the honours with big time gent winning his heat and cherokee playboy running 3rd to droppys robhino

John

I thought Blacks dog was impressive the recent purchase of the ex IGB bosses, Curley and Taggart, Rossacredibility.

Although i tink McKenna says Cork 525 has a disadvantage for wide runners, if only Johnny could find the yoke

11/8 Black to land the comp with Cashmans 3 good chances
