Kilhoran choice again lines up in trap 5 tonight in tralee and he will have to be at his best to qualify from this one,he was very tired after his race last sat night and it took a lot out of him he seems in good form but not his usually self so I'm just hoping he can turn in a decent performance 3 runs in a week (if he gets to the final) for a dog so young is a tough proposition
The sweep was originally for 18 dogs with 2 to qualify from each heat but it was over subscribed leading to 24 lining up in the first round and 3 runs instead of the 2 that was originally planned for
I think being only a slip of a dog 64lb that once a week would be enough for him to don the racing sheet he has been on the easy list since last Saturday and has had no gallop and the walking exercise was kept to a bare minimum
I usually like to work my dogs very hard but with this fella i have to take a different approach he doesn't take a lot of galloping to get him race fit so fingers crossed he can qualify for the final next saturday night
