ladbroke 600 kicks off in shelbourne

Tonight sees the first round of the 08 ladbroke 600 taking place in headquarters formerly known as the Guinness 600 it has thrown up some very decent winners down the years
Looking at this years line up it doesn't look to have as much quality as previous years with only 15 dogs trading at 50/1 or less and the remainder all prices up to 1000/1
The fact that the cox cup in newbridge is underway at the same time hasn't helped
there are many potential winners in the line up with college causeway,si senor and tyrur kenny heading the betting the Kerry owned causeway would have to be in with a big shout over a distance that looks tailor made for him
Si senor looks to have lost some of his old sparkle but will still be there or there abouts come final night bar trouble in running
2 dogs i like are shelbourne aston and ballymac penske "aston" is rarely out of the frame only being out of the first 3 on 5 occasions in his race career and has a very promising trial there in recent weeks to confirm his well being
Ballymac penske has been running well in recent weeks after a slight dipp in form the track and trip should suit her to a tee and again she is another that can qualify away
I saw some of her first runs around tralee and i really thought she would be a very special bitch over further but so far has not had the rub of the green
