Tralee hosts a mundane enough card tonight in tralee the only highlight being the 2 semi finals of the kasko derby other than them im afraid its fairly average on the plus side we have all the action from harolds cross which stages the first round of the puppy derby
back to tralee in the first semi of the kasko derby cashen dream looks to be the one to be on after finishing 2nd in his heat he was still clocking a fast 28.69 and if he can repeat that form it should be good enough
The second heat of the night is by far the best race on the card and there are a few in with live chances the obvious favourite here is the gerry houihan cash dream after his first round effort of a smashing 28.55 he will take a lot of beating he has a lot in hand on the clock but i would be sitting this one out rather than punting its a quality line up with the likes of cashen pedro and droopys teabag in the field
On the intertrack we have all the action from the first rounds of the puppy derby in harolds cross kerry is well represented here with some smart pups on show Johnny O Sullivan travels with biddys boy who goes to traps in the fourth heat of the night and he will have to perform much better than last week to progress
Larry Keane from ballymac has rathanny billy in the sixth heat and his recent trial of 17.75 suggests he is in good heart mary burrell also has mossend ronnie here in trap 4 this lightly raced fella will need some luck in running
Tom "Saleen" O Connor has tasty rambler in heat 7 and this fella at a price could be worth a punt in what looks like a quality heat;Mike Mckenna is represented in this one also by droopys noel who has a fast 28.64 shelbourne race win on his card
pencray lass lines up in heat nine for Mick Burrell and Carol Humphreys and this recent puppy oaks finalist has some nice form around the cross and this should stand her in good stead
The liam dowling trianed lord karl lines up in heat 11 on the night and is another with a live chance
And last but not least flying the flag for Kerry is the Declan Styles trained liscahane hero a recent winner in a fast 28.59 in tralee e may just be good enough to do the business here
