Ahhhhhhhhh!"!!!...2 second place finishes this weekend... most of the time you would be happy enough coming home with a good run and second place in the bag but not this weekend..first up with Aoife this lady ran a blinder in her novice race last Friday but got pipped by a very smart novice in the shape of hollywood idol she was slightly under prepared but that's the way the cookies crumbles 99 times out of 100 29.16 would be well good enough to win
Onto last night i had Aughcasla adam lining up in A3 this fella has had no luck in running so far getting trouble in most of his races last night looked on paper like he would get a clear run and it was looking good for a while as he turned 3rd around the first bend and went into second up the back and put his head down to try and catch the leader he was making nice in roads and was just about to take it up at the third bend when the bitch in front shut the door on him so he checked up and lost his chance now that wasn't too bad until i heard the wining time 28.89!!! and i was beaten 2 1/2 lengths so doing an estimated 29.06 so i have been rewarded with a 2 grade jump to A1 for my trouble and still no win on his card!!!
