I was planning on going to cork on Saturday night to watch kilhoran choice take his place in the second rounds of the Barry's tea but aoife has been called for a race in tralee so i will have to skip my trip to curraheen i will be able to watch it live in tralee on the satelight feed anyway so i just hope he can qualify and get through to the final
Aoife will be going from trap 1 in a sprint and I'm hopeful that she can run well but the trap draw may be against her as she usually heads for the outside from trap rise,a middle draw would have been more suitable for her but we are where we are, its a tricky enough race and trap 2 samba podge and trap 3 kilree bouncer has some nice form but if Aoife can ping the leads like i know she can and poach an early lead i would be confident she can win against this field either way she will be stepped up to 525 in the coming weeks and its likely i will head to limerick with her for an a3 sweep
Choice has drawn a tricky heat in curraheen but at this stage of the competition nothing will be easy he is boxed in 1 and this will be a big plus for him if he can hold his pitch early he will have a great chance to qualify,the likely favs are graham hollands rough quest and the hennessy trained group skater there is only 2 to qualify from each heat(a system i hate) so there is no room for error
so lets hope for a kilhoran trap 1 double on the night!!!
