We are after some horrible weather these last few weeks and it makes training dogs a real pain in the ass with the wet and windy weather;the dark mornings;the dark evenings and the paddocks are in scutter, Trying to get a chance to gallop dogs between the showers is also a lottery with the daylight hours being so short and if you add a full time job into the equation its nearly impossible to do them properly Sometimes i think there was a lot to be said for closing the tracks for a couple of months during the winter like they used to in the old days back then because of the all grass surface it was a necessity to do so it had lots of positives giving the dogs a chance to recuperate from any niggling injury and giving his owner some chance of getting his sanity back ..lol I have to say i have an indoor covered in paddock its only small but its big enough to let a few dogs out to clean them selves in the morning regardless of the weather and its a massive help i just couldn't do with out it i recently put concrete down in it and the few days it was out of action made me relies how much i depended on it and i just couldn't manage with out it |
