Well after some stimulating debate on the greyhound data forum over the past week i closed the poll on Saturday evening last the result of the dog of the year was a pretty clear cut thing with ardkill jamie and catunda harry gaining most of the vote between them;jamie coming out on top with 42% of the vote The bitch of the year on the other hand was a lot closer with 4 of them in the mix right down to the cut off point of saturday evening last from a poll of 102 voters alexandrova just came out on top with 29% of the vote from handy princess who had 26% a very tight run thing;hillcroft josie and miss firecracker returned with 20 and 22 percent respectively It got me thinking wouldn't a yearly race between the top 6 dogs and bitches in training for big prize money draw some crowd to any venue how about this line up in the bitches race trap 1 hillcroft josie trap 2 alexandrova trap 3 handy princess trap 4 miss firecracker trap 5 shingaun stan trap 6 express tune now that would be a race to saviour
