Well the dust has settled after the opening round on friday night last there was some top class dogs on show and some top class performances to boot winning times varied from a brilliant 28.26 to 28.84 gold star joe stepped up big time with a brilliant run of 28.26 to be fair i thought he would find the step up a little beyond him initially with his split times in clonmel leaving some room for improvement in open class but he did the job well last friday night
crowd favourite scarty lad again came up trumps with the second fastest run of the night in a smashing 28.36 making it 5 wins in a row and a record of 26 wins from 47 runs and a nice €28000 in prize money if bruce bookmakers come up with an ante post list before next week i might just have a few pound on him to win it out right if he keeps trapping like he is he will go along way to winning this nice prize
