Kingdom derby

Tomorrow night sees tralee play host to the 2nd round of the 2007 kingdom derby after some shock eliminations in the first round with the exits of the high profile droopys electric and four dubs it looks to be a wide open affair
The stars of last week s first round goldstar joe and scarty lad have been drawn in separate heats and both should progress with the minimum of fuss
In the first heat of the night it looks to be a toss up between traps 4,5, and 6 saleens low handicap has brilliant early pace but finds the 525 yard trip plenty far enough so i will plump for the runner in trap 4 golmine emre who is another with some nice early gears and is taken to come out on top from low handicap with shanacastle lad running on for the third qualifying spot
In the second heat of the night the unbeaten goldstar joe looks to be a nailed on winner and will go to traps a very short price favourite
In heat 3 spider said looks to be the one to be on in was in a tough heat last week against track specialist scarty lad he will have less to do here but ray flemmings trap 1 runner college causeway will be finishing fast and should make the frame and could give "the spider" something to think about as the finishing line approaches
In the final heat of the night its hard to get away from the brilliant scarty lad the mossie o connor trained runner will be short odds here to do the business and should prevail with the minimum of fuss mossie o connors 2nd runner in the heat bua visentini may give him a race for it in the early stages but i can only see one winner here
