Tralee update

On a bitterly cold winters night in tralee the best wine was kept till last with the performance of scarty lad in the final heat of the kingdom derby he flashed out of traps to win in the fastest of the night 28.55 returning a short price fav he did the business with little fuss with mossie o connors other runner on the night bua visteni finishing 2nd with headlys jenny taking the third qualiying spot
In the first heat of the night owen mckennas shanacasle lad came out on top in a photo finish having led for most of the journey he nearly threw his chance away by running wide off the final bend just holding on by the shortest of margins from goldmine emre and low handicap in a winning time of 28.75
Mckenna was again on the mark in the next heat with catunda francie making all to win easily in a fast 28.64 hot favourite goldstar joe had every chance going up the back straight but to be truthful he didn't want to know about it and i can now see why mr savva sent him back across The water after his brief time in england
The third heat of the night proved a good one for jim morrissey with his veteran performer jacksheaboy blasting from traps to win in 28.99 from spider said and climate kewell

A good night racing was enjoyed by a reasonable crowd on the night but i would say that the freezing weather conditions kept some people at home... i have to say it was one of the coldest nights i have spent in tralee track for years
