What a weekend in store!!

Its hard to know where to start this weekend with so much top quality action taking place all over the country
In head quarters we have the final of the tote gold cup worth €30000 to the winner in galway we have the final of the champion bitch stake worth €26000 to the winner in limerick we have the final of the kennedy cup worth €5200 to the winner and in cork we have the 2nd round heats of the kudos supersprint …racing to be savoured
We will start in Shelbourne where 6 top class hounds contest this big prize money final (5 being sired by the recently passed away top honcho) I have fancied forest master from the start of this sweep and he has been remarkably consistent;his WORSE time in his last 4 runs in Shelburne is 28.63!!! and I still think he will win but I have to tip against him in the tipping competition with johnny moyles after lots of consideration I'm going to plump for tyrur bertie, well housed in trap 4 this son of tyrur ted is taken to win from forest master and line of fire
Onto galway the country's top bitches line up for the champion bitch stake the line up for the final here was decided on a points system and I for one don’t like it I much preferred the 3 qualifying rule that is generally used around the country last weekends 4 semi finals cut up really bad with some going to post with only 4 runners due to non runners that had no chance to qualify… anyways on to this weeks final sponsor pj fahy looks to have an outstanding chance with his runner tyrur Nadine but the trap 6 draw could well prove her undoing I'm going to go for early pace in this one and I think newbridge jewel is on the one to be on here, remarkably consistent at the boxes she is taken to lead here and the veteran trainer denis o malley is taken to have her spot on for the big occasion she will probably need a couple of lengths turning up the back straight and any bit of trouble in behind will play right into her hands
Limerick plays hosts to the final of the kennedy cup last week I advised a max bet on bua vistini for his semi final however this week I will have to swerve mossie o connors runner drawn in the dreaded 6 box I cant see how he can win if you look at tonight's finalist none of the 6 runners have even qualified from the 6 box!! In any heat from the beginning of the competition!!!
Cashen pedro drawn in trap 1 is ideally housed but doesn’t seem to be best suited to the tough limerick gallop he had every chance in last weeks semi final after leading but was not good enough on the night however I think the trap 1 could be exactly what he needs and is given a tentative vote in a tricky race with lots in with chances
Onto curraheen park where I had a good punting night last weekend backing kobelco at a nice 3/1 to win his heat they stage a top class card with the second round heats of the supersprint taking centre stage with only 2 to qualify this weekend any mistakes will be punished with elimination there is no room for error with only the first 2 home to get to the final this is another system im not too fond of more over in a sprint competition
…..Anyways the first heat houses 3 of last weeks winners in trap 2,3 and 4 respectively with my fancy kobelco for shane Murphy housed in trap 3 in a more difficult heat than last week I still fancy this fella to come out on top but I will be betting to smaller stakes this week and a smaller sp I would imagine..lol
Ante post fav ina season goes in the second heat of the night and is taken to win easily this fella showed huge pace from traps last Saturday and a repeat performance will suffice here
The third and final heat of the night is also probably the most competitive with scarty lad, roxholme ryan, express comet and low handicap all in the line up a tentative choice goes to scarty lad who had a bit of bumping to contend with last week the trip is definetly short of his ideal trip but his early pace is taken to win here
Tipping
Tyrur bertie
newbridge jewel
Cashen pedro
Kobelco
Inaseason
Scarty lad
