College causeway had to pull out all the stops on Saturday night last to win this years ladbroke 600 the pundits would have you believe it was a one dog race but as every its not as simple as that
The Liam dowliing trained ballymac penske took a flyer from trap 6 and was in control early on which is very unusually for her she more often than not does her running in the second half of the race but tonight she was on the bunny and i thought nothing would pick her up,causeway was very poorly away from traps and had a mountain to climb early on but he plugged on gamely and ran a massive race to just collar the ballymac bitch on the line.... an amazing run when you consider the class of bitch he picked up
You would have to feel sorry for Liam dowling as his runner led everywhere except the line a cruel way to lose but well done to the connections of college causeway they spent big money on this fella and it has paid off handsomely
