aughcastla adam did what had to be done last Sunday night in clonmel qualifying in 3rd to go through to the semi finals next Sunday night he broke well from trap 2 but seemed to lack a yard of early to the bend where he met some trouble he plugged on gamely enough after to finish 3rd beaten a total of 7 1/2 lengths in a very fast 28.74 doing a respectable enough time of 29.26 in the process there was a couple of very fast runs with pat dalys charge flying around in an earlier heat in 28.74 so it looks like this sweep will take a bit of winning and i look to have drawn the short straw with the semi final line up!!!
