so much for the bloody lucky jacket!!!

Don't talk to me!!! i was half way to clonmel last night when i got a puncture outside mitchelstown i wasn't too concerned as i always leave home with lots of time in hand and i was happy enough as i had a torch spare etc,even though it was pissing rain and a gale blowing!!! anyways i proceeded to loosen the nuts on the wheel and jack up the car when i went to let down the spare,it is underneath the back of the van and is loosened by a nut inside,but the bloody nut was stuck fast and i couldn't loosen the damn thing!! not all was lost i thought as i have one of this quick puncture repair things that inflates the tyre so i stuck it on left it go for about 15 Min's
I might as well be trying to blow the bloody tyre up myself!!!
So i went back to the nut and after about 15 Min's of blood sweat and tears i finally got it opened and the wheel down ill tell you one thing the mechanics in the Ferrari garage had better watch out with the speed i changed that tyre!!!
Anyways into the van drowned wet,i put the boot down and headed for clonmel i got there with about 5 Min's to spare
anyhows on to the race there was no excuses he didn't come away that well from trap 1 and was actually going on last into the first bend and it was always going to be a struggle from there but to be fair he plugged on gamely to finish 4th beaten 4 1/2 lengths in a time of 28.99 the fastest time of the night by a long distance the general consensus was that the track was back a nice bit the 3 in front looked the likely ones to fill the qualifying places before they went to traps the other semi final was won in 29.31 so i definitely got the short straw where the trap draw was concerned but that's the way the cookie crumbles
I will run him now in a one off race and try and get a win on his card quick as going up the grades without winning is never a good thing
