back in the saddle

well after a couple of quiet weeks on my blog due to Christmas and new year I'm back in the saddle from today i hope all my readers had a good and safe Christmas and new years and lets hope for lots of winners in 09
its been pretty quiet in my kennels over the last few weeks with not much happening on the racing front i had only 1 runner in the shape of dinneenos lad in tralee but he had no luck in running when getting badly baulked at the first turn and finishing last he came off sound and is in flying form I'm going to step him up to 525 in the new year and I'm looking at running him in the broadway pet foods a3 sweep in galway... time will tell soon enough if he stays the trip
Aughcastla adam was due to run in cork last weekend but i had to withdraw him as he got dehydrated on me after a hard gallop and lost 3 to 4 lb over night so hes been resting for a week or so and i will probably put him up the gallop in the next few days he will be out of his time shortly so i may have to re qualify him over the sprint trip if he is not fit enough to do himself justice
the 2 daves mentors pups have just been put into full work again and i will re qualify them both next monday in tralee and then its all systems go (hopefully) i am planning on running kilhoran venture in the mike cronin classic due to start on the 6h march but all will have to go according to plan to have him right for this, the cramping episode and then the cough put me back a good bit with him and i will only run him if i think hes ready to do him self justice
