just spotted this in the hot gossip section of the talking dogs section on the igb site
NOT A RECORD?
Tuesday, February 17th
"I have already mentioned that Stephen Buckmaster was in touch regarding the Bolton Ton but he also posed a question “Is this a record” in relation to the performance of brood bitch Aughacasla Spark over the weekend.
Four members of the one litter by Head Bound were successful within 24 hours – Aughacasla Adam won in 30.04 for the 550 yards at Tralee on Friday and then on Saturday Aughacasla Milly won in 29.13 at Tralee while Garry Spark won a 750 at the same track in 42.70. Over at Oxford the same night, Aughacasla Jesse won the semi-final of the Trafalgar Cup over 450 metres in 26.82.
My initial record was absolutely not. I even have memories of my late dad completing a litter four-timer at Enniscorthy back in the mid 1950s from a great litter out of Fleeting Ash, one of which Merville was an English Derby semi-finalist subsequently. No doubt some reader will be able to put us in the picture.
Whether it was a record or not, it was still a mighty achievement for the litter bred by Gabriel Keane from Aughacasla in Castlegregory in County Kerry".
A nice little right up for gabriel keane and his brood bitch aughacasla spark i have to say it was something i missed they look to be a decent litter with nearly all of them winning in good times
nice to see the small breeder get some recognition for a change whether its a record or not i couldnt tell ya but a great achievement all the same
