banteer schooling track

I was in banteer this morning with kilhoran classic(honcho classic-spring maeve) to give him a handslip

I previously gave him 1 in ballybunion about 6 weeks ago and he ran novice like but he came off a little sore after his trial back then so i decided to give him a little time

as soon as i got out of the van i knew he was well up for it i slipped him just in front of the traps and he ran really well and i was over the moon with his run he took the bends like a real pro and no checking whatsoever and chased hard all the way to the pick up

as it was a hand slip there was no first section but i did get the second split and going by his 2nd section he will be well inside qualifying so hopefully he will be sound on the metacarpals in the morning and all going well i will box him next week and see how he goes

Anyways I'm off to thurles tonight to support scarty lad and his connections in the final of the tipp cup lets hope he does the business and pops out and wins hes a strong 4/6 favourite in the betting but i can see him drifting to 1/1 on the night and that might be a bit of value if he leads around the first bend i cant see anything in the line up getting to him

On another note a fairly sad person went to the bother of nicking a muzzle and lead from mossie o connors kennel bag which was in the weigh room last weekend it makes me wonder sometimes what kind of person would go to the bother of stealing for the sake of €20???????
