Mentor goes well

Headleys mentor ran well last night in shelbourne park finishing 2nd to a really quick winner beaten a length in 28.53 he turned second to the fav and up the back i thought he would pick him up coming for home and for a wee bit i thought i was going to have my first saturday night shelbourne park winner but alas he didnt have enough in the tank to win but the time was there and not many dogs would pick up a 28.50 winner he was a little undecided around the last turn whether to go inside or out and if he kept to the inside it may well have been a different result but for his first look around headquaters i was very happy the stewards on the night rated the tack 30 fast so he stills stays in a1 grade he will line up in the final next week from trap 1 so fingers crossed
