Headleys mentor lines up in the semi final of an a1 sweep tomorrow night in cork (weather dependant) and has again drawn the tougher of the 2 semi finals with 3 winners and 2 seconds in the line up.its becoming a bit of a habit!!
Anyways we have to take what we get in this game the first round was a very messy affair and mentor did well to qualify but he will have to be a lot sharper at traps in the semi if he is to progress to the final,he was very slow away in the first round only doing a 3.59 split which is a full 22 spots behind his best in cork
There has not been a tap done with him all week due to the weather and he really would need a few gallops to blow away the cobwebs,apart from his racing the past 5 or 6 weeks his work off the track has been practically zero due to one thing or another
Hopefully he can qualify tomorrow and get to another final and I'm sure his turn will come soon enough hes been in my kennel since mid July and has made 2 finals including a group 2 in which he finished runner and has earned the over 2000 euro so is paying his way if not winning as often as i would like
