I was in cork on Wednesday night for an a4 graded race with our syndicates after the ball i wasn't to hopeful going up as there was a couple of unexposed types in the line up and he had done 2 really poor trials in the last month so i was just hoping for an improvement in form more than anything else.
As the traps went up 6 flashed out in front she had 2 lengths on my fella passing the line for a brilliant sectional of 3.32 which really is an open split my fella turned the bend in second and to be fair he stayed on well going up the back as i thought he would fade but he stuck to his task well he was never going to live with the winner who did a brilliant time for an a4 grader with the fton a 28.76 and congrats to the winner and owner trainer James mulcahy who has a fine strike rate of 4 winners from 9 attempts in 2007 so a kennel in form
i was beaten 4.5 lenghts and was so i was doing an estimated time of 29.07+30 i was pleasantly surprised on another night in a4 company his time would be good enough to win but it was not to be
moving up a grade without winning is not good but what can you do it could be worse i suppose..... he could be gone up 2 grades..lol
so roll on a3 company its going to get harder to win with him now so i will have to try and place him well
